Krrish 2, headlining Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra, will start production in October and be ready to release in a year's time.
The film, produced by Filmkraft, Hrithik's home production, additionally stars Vivek Oberoi as a villain and Chitrangada Singh as a mutant.
The film was to roll in mid June, but Hrithik and Priyanka have been busy filming for Agneepath; Hrithik has also been promoting Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara; As a result, Krrish 2's start has been pushed back by four months.
"We're just waiting for the storyboard to be completed because when you make a film with special effects, you have to have all your frames sketched and approved on paper. Only then can they be executed inside the studio. Once that happens, the Krrish sequel will roll in October; wrap up in March and probably release next monsoon," Hrithik told HT.
Talking about Hrithik and Priyanka's look, Priyanka said, "This is a sequel and both Hrithik's character and mine, Krishna and Priya, will remain the same. But our looks will be different from the previous film. The setting will be contemporary, so our attire will be designed keeping that in mind."
Hrithik will play triple role in the film - father, son and grandson.
Hrithik reassures that Krrish 2 - like the earlier films from the franchise: Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish - will feature captivating music and dance.
"Krrish and Koi Mil Gaya (2003) had their scores and dances which didn't look out of place in the movie, but took the story forward. I guess that will be the case with this film too."
